Hi ...I have a 2012 118 tsi, it has had the piston rebuild back in 2015 and doesnt use any oil, however it has started to blow a bit of white/grey smoke occasionally. I fear the worst.....any idea on what it could be ? It also has some intermittent starting issues.

I'm the knucklehead who complained about my fuel consumption after I fitted 18" rims just about 15000k ago. The consensus was that the increased rolling resistance etc was the cause. I should have recognized that the issue also coincided with a service that included a change of gearbox oil....
