My 2011 passat petrol car has been losing oil with no leak or fog from the exhaust. Is it because I changed the oil to be Penrite HPR 5 Engine Oil - 5W-40 ?

Greetings. Can anyone confirm that Penrite HPR 10 Full Synthetic 10W-50 is OK for this vehicle,please.
I've been using Penrite 15W-50 Diesel which is a semi synthetic. Both comply with VW 502.00 and 505.00. The full synthetic HPR 10 complies with VW 500.00 as well.
