Failed Locking mech on auto tailgate

Anyone got any advice if this can be fixed outside of getting the dealer to fix it. tailgate opens and closed as it should however does not lock.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Touareg i-pod adaptor

Hi team, first post. Bought 09 Touareg V6TDI last year with i-pod adaptor which connects in place of 6 stacker CD. Connects i-pod (classic) ok and plays music but provides little info on vehicle screen. No song name, artist just refers to title 1,2 etc. Appears I can change playlists by selecting CD1-6...
