    Hi, I've done a search, but not really successful.
    I'm occaisionally getting CEL for Evap system on my 1.4 TSI (125).
    Based on previous discussions I am leaning towards needing a new Charcoal Canister. If it was the N80 valve, I figure it would be constant.

  • evap canister replacement - OEM or eBay (China)?

    Was quoted $350+ for a replacement from VW including the hose attachment. Equivalent kits (same part no's) from China on eBay can be had for <$50.

    Will I regret going the cheap route?

    EVAP fault (CEL) came on 2 weeks ago, and was told that the carbon canister needs replacing. Now the genuine unit will set me back a good ~$250 - $300 (VW quoted around the $400 mark but can find it elsewhere for cheaper), however a OE from ebay / aliexpress is more around the...

  • Fault code in Evap canister and N80 valve

    Just had my 75000 service and was told i had a fault code in the Evap canister, it has been reset but it will occur again (engine fault light will appear on the dash!) so i need to have something replaced. I think max cost is $400 but has anyone come across this? apparently quite common when you get...
