Small boot lid has lost its counterbalance. No longer lifts open on the button and drops like a stone from open position. Do they have springs or gas struts on the small lid? Any tips on how to access for repair?

'15 "S" owner here. Drawn primarily because you Aussies have access to rather different wheels than are commonly sold in the US, and I'm keen to replace the 15" wheels and tires that come standard on the "S" model in the US.
