    I'm having trouble identifying the correct brake pads to put on my Golf 2.0 FSI from 2008. The car manual and Haynes guide has nothing specific (that I can see), and inputting the VIN on a couple of websites brings up "unknown" in response.

    UPDATE: I have now sourced and bought the corresponding Ate ceramic brake pads.
    The Ate part numbers are:
    Front: Item Number 13.0470-7184.2-ECER2 (with brake wear sensor)
    Back: Item Number 13.0470-2894.2-ECER2
    They cost me 126,40 EUR for front and back (incl 18% GST), shipping...
