Thule (or other brand) bike carriers on VW OEM racks?

Hey all.
Was wondering if anyone has had success with a non-vw brand bike carrier attached to the VW OEM roof racks? I'm looking at the Thule ProRide carrier at the moment but can't find info on whether it can lock to the bars. The OEM bars seem to have a similar T-shaper groove to the Thule bars...
