Does anyone use fuel additives (eg. octane booster). Are these good or bad for your engine? which brand(s) do you use or recommend?

VW will sometimes provide fuel additives (valve lubricant IIRC) when you pick your car up from a service.

I've got a golf MK7 tsi at 120k km and wanted to do some preventative maintenance to ensure it runs smoothly for a while. Doing a major service soon and wondering what additives i should use post service.

Just wondering do I need to use the additives, ie. Injector cleaner or fuel system cleaner after nearly three years use.

Or just two tanks of BP 98#?
