Yeh mum can be really annoying, I know that there are safe second hand cars available. But mum is well, mum. There is no way of convincing mum for me to spend my money on a second hand car.

Yes both the DS3 Sport and 208 Sport are both 6-speed manuals but the DS3 has shorter ratios from what I've read. So I think I'm leaning towards the DS3, also because it's cheaper and there are definately mods available for it.

Alright people, I test-drove both cars. The clutch in the DS3 felt nicer and was easier to become used to than the 208. The 208 had nicer materials used in the cabin though. The DS3 had a far nicer meatier steering feel and I could feel everything the front wheels were doing. Both cars felt unbelievably quick compared to my current car. The torque is insane, full 240Nm @ 1400rpm.

Due to the recent price drop for DS3's, now $27 990 drive away for the dsport, I decided on a brand new DS3 DSport in yellow and black. Any options that are fitted to cars in-stock are free (no extra charge), reverse sensors, bluetooth audio streaming were on the one I wanted.

I only managed to reduce the price by about $600 because of the recent price drop but still and all, I think it was a very good buy. Pick-up is on Tuesday and then I play the waiting game for the exemption. Can't wait!
