How will this clog your cat...? Unless you are running Leaded petrol, it won't happen...

Love the car, just dun want to fxxx it up... (also no extra $$ to fix it after getting the car)
Try to avoid spending 400 bucks and find out it doesnt work and needs to use the stock one...

Don't think its a direct cause... more likely with pod than bovOriginally posted by hkogti View Post
So, the bov clog the cat and cause engine light to comes on, what about the MAF sensor? Is that going to cause any damage? Coz some guy on the forum claimed that he replace a few due to the bov...

I read so many fourm about a bov, and there are so many different answers...
Some said that those bov with adjustable spring will work as long as you keep the setting to hardest.

full atmo? not recommended but u can try out... It will eventually clog ur cat up with excess fuel and then pop eng light... fuel consumption will increase but doesn't mean power will follow. But if u like it and want it on then at lease make the diaphragm adjustment screw (Presumably hks) in tightest setting.

I like the Bogan soundOriginally posted by tosspot View PostOn top of those problems, did you also know that they make bogan-like sound?

...And I have never had any ECU problems with my car. Just for other peoples information, the Forge BOV vents 70%to intake, and 30%to atmosphere, and was specifically designed for VAG engines so it WOULD NOT interupt the ECU(I stayed up till 2am on a school night to ring Forge in England and triple check this info). I have had the Forge BOV on my car for 4 months, and it works a treat.

polo use the same 1.8T engine...
both use MAF sensor right?
And i assume that the ECU is pretty similar....
Correct me if i m wrong...
So, if it is ok with your car, it should be ok for mine...
Many ppl suggested that atmo bov will make the ECU crazy and have engine check light...

well yeah, they said a 1-2 weeks delivery, and said that they would charge me $40 P&H for the size and weight of the package. when i ended up getting it from autobarn, i soon found out it comes in a small box and it quite light.....not happy. i'm glad i didn't opt for the internet price, i would have been so angry at a $40 P&H for a BOV. maybe because they are based down your way that the P&H is cheaper and it gets delivered quicker. i would guarantee they don't express post interstate... profit margins are a wonderful thingOriginally posted by dodgeGTI View PostModyourcar do price match... so i got mine around $260ish.
$40 P&H and a 2 week wait? That's highway robbery!
