Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Well after almost 20,000kms my GTI only just feels run in.

Feels more willing to go over 5,000 than when new, feels more powerful all around.

    I have had no issues.

The very occassional 1-2 or 2-1 graunch, but quite often they were my own doing.

The only thing I've done is the front strut brace. I usually find them a bit of a wank value mod however I was very surprised how much better the car felt for such a mild mod.

Loving my GTI more every day!!! She really grows on you....

Would do pads and fluid, rear sway bar and Seat air intake and filter upgrade next.

    Then chip it.

    Then coilovers or Koni adjustables.

However those plans will probably have to be on hold for a while, having being basically fired on the 20th!!!!!!!
