  • New Evap Canister and N80 Valve Required.

    Hi Everybody.

2014 VW Polo 6R 77 TSI, 99,000 KM's driven. Always used 98 RON petrol from day 1. First owner.

ECU engine light came on a couple of day's ago and the car was taken to VW for fault code scan/diagnostic.
They scanned for codes and advised that the 'evap canister pipe' and 'purge regulator valve (N80)' requires replacing at a cost of $1533 .

I have been reading a few forum posts here and watching You Tube videos relating to these parts and issue.
I see that these parts can be procured at a fraction of the cost (Made in China and ships from also) which I am happy to do.

My question is, are these two parts something that I can replace myself without having to jack up the car or have the requirement for any special tools?
I can't find a video showing me where these two parts are located in a Polo but saw how easy it is to replace the charcoal canister in a Golf GTI.

Here is a link to some pictures of under the bonnet and I would appreciate if the two parts could be highlighted just so that I can see for myself exactly where they are located and what the correct part numbers are.

    Many Thanks.

    Roland.
