Wife's car is having problems and I know nothing of VW's tiny little sewing machine go cart engines. We have 2 issues right now.
Problem 1.
A 12 Volt battery low message on the vehicle upon start up in the morning. This morning before testing I checked all connections and tested the vehicle's battery. Voltage on the battery before cold start up was 12.5 volts. I started the vehicle and the battery voltage at the computer (according to my snap on scanner) was 11 volts. Alternator seems to be charging. Why is the battery voltage at the battery much higher than what is reading at the computer?
Problem 2.
While I was looking into the battery problem, I noticed a code 14633- P190D for the Coolant Charge Pump Pressure Cooler. Is that what VW calls a AfterRun Water pump?
What is the best place to purchase a Factory Service Manual for this vehicle?
The vehicle seems to be perfect for bashing into shopping trolleys, grocery hauling, ease of parking and polishing concrete curbs with the alloy wheels so we want to keep for for a little longer.
