Sorry if this has been done already but I couldn't find a thread.
I have what sounds like a hydraulic lifter noise in my 2008 Tig, 2 ltr diesel. Comes and goes but worse when it's hot. I've tried two different VW approved oils, Castrol Edge Professional and Penrite Eviro +. The Penrite is defintely better but the noise is still there.
Has anyone had this problem? Is it the lifters? Is this common? What was the fix cost?
