Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • EPC + Fault in catalytic converter

    Hi Group

    I encountered my 1st problem with my 2month old 2000Kms 125TSI MY2011 .

I just entered the freeway and after 2-3kms I felt a slight rattle which I thought was the road. Then no matter how hard I stepped on the gas it seems its not getting any faster. I noticed the EPC(yellow) is displayed on MFD and thankfully was able to safely park on the shoulder.

I could not turn on the engine and now EPC + "fault in catalytic converter" lights were on....

..Also have to wait for almost 4hrs before VWAssit arrived and just left after 5mins after asking me what happened and said to wait to be towed... (another frustrating story)

Before I left my car I tried to start it again and still could not... and now additional error lights on the MFD... engine oil pressure too low(red) engine oil + battery.

I'll be checking with VW tomorrow and hopefully they will provide a courtesy car and I will not have to wait months before they can fix my problem. This is my very 1st car... also checked my last pump invoice and it was VPower...
