This all started because I like have a second set of 16”rims which I intend to put AT or something more serious for off road trips. But in the exercise of finding off-road tyre tests lead me to find some on-road tests which the assessors have utilised a Tiguan as their test vehicle.
Standard 16” rims
AutoExpress whilst not stating what the test vehicle was on their ‘About the testing’ page just have a look at the photos. You guessed it a Tiguan
Test results Interestingly or disappointingly depending on what tyres your Tig was supplied with, the Pirelli P7 which is on some factory delivered Tig’s was last. In the case of the Tiguan, do VW supply tyres on performance or price?? Hmm…
Now for those of you with 17” rims
From Continental Website: AutoBild Allrad (issue 4/2009). The editorial team tested size 235/55 R 17 tyres on a VW Tiguan
Sorry if you've got 18" rims I have not yet dredged up anything yet
