Anyone running 19x8.5 +45 and 245/35r19 on their 7.5s? Most aftermarket rims seem to be +45 and 8.5" wide (versus +50 and 8" standard)...Wondering if the extra 12mm offset will cause an issue at standard ride height.

    Momo TenS

    18*8 235/40 Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres.

Had dreaded vibration issue and ended up being the mating surface for the hubrings on two of the wheels had some residue on them. Scraped and cleaned, replaced the hub rings just because and no more vibration.

    Thanks.

I totally agree with you! The full GTI interior looks great and since I completed it I started to think if something happens to the engine or gearbox I may start an even bigger project. I'm thinking of buying a wrecked GTI (just need the front end in a good condition) and move the powertrain (and other bits if needed) to the wagon to make it full GTI. I already have a friend that when I mentioned to he agreed straight away to help!

I saw something similar done in golfmk7 website and it made me want to do it even more. It would be awesome if it materialises.

Let's see what the future holds...

Recently got a 2014 mk7 Golf R. Stock springs. Looking for some new rims.

Anyone know if 18x8.5 + 34 rims will cause issues? Which size tyres should I get with them?

I only put the wheel spec's up with the wheel pic , tyres 245/40r18 I've had enough of the 235/35r19 .

You might want to consider another brand tyre at a similar quality/performance level (Continental Sport Contact 6, Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport, Bridgestone Potenza Sport etc) if you want to get the wheels fitted up soon.
    Thanks
