Has anyone who has a Mk6 tried to install the AVC9000-1

I've just come back from Volkspower a very distraught man after finding out the mk6 golf and the new facelift skoda rs apparently have something changed on the canbus so the AVC unit now won't function?

Plug it into a Mk5 model and all works perfectly, plug it into a Mk6 model and all it does is blink, even if the ignition isn't turned on.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
