gti mk5 - no boost, no power

Hi,
Two weeks ago I changed a Diverter Valve in my stock gti mk5.
The change made a huge difference but situation is back to abnormal again.
The car behaves like with faulty DV except I don't hear the whistle like before.

Appart from general question...
What is the good air and fuel pressure in our cars?
Do you hear air/fuel comming back to tank after driving a car?
