MK6 parts in MK5?

Hi Guys, I just bought a mk5 turbo jetta and is thinking to do some mods. I'm able to pick a APR carbon Fibre CAI from the MK6 jetta but not so sure if it would fit in my mk5? and for $500 not installed is it worth it? (unused, still packed)

I was also searching on auction sites for coilovers, descriptions on those coilovers were sayings that they would fit for both MK5 GTI/Jetta as well as MK6 GTI/jetta? So I just want to confirm if their word is trustworthy or they just want their items sold?
