Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Good Deal?

    Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie to the forum and looking at purchasing a new GTI. I actually came extremely close to buying the new Civic Type R thinking that it was an incredibly cool car. I also had an incorrect view of the GTI being more expensive and would be too much so after I added on the extras that I wanted but thought I'd just have a look, have a drive and see what it cost. Drove it and absolutely loved it!! Loved it even more so when I discovered that even with the leather added on I was given a drive away price cheaper than the Type R.

Anyway, I was just wondering, with your experiences whether the deal was as good as it seems to me or whether I could go even cheaper? Here are the specs:

Black 3dr manual with leather for $43,600.

Thanks!! Hopefully I'll be a proud GTI owner in the near future....
Working...
