changes between 06, 07,and 08 build GTIs?

hi all

was wondering what the changes were between 2006, 07 and 08 GTIs?

I know a couple of things like:

-the full height MFD (exactly when did that come in?)
-the engine became a BWA rather than AXX (any mechanical difference?)
-standard stereo seemed to have changed at some point (MP3 compatible?)
- I think the knob for the sunroof became a round (harder to use) one later in 08?

I've also read that the engine cover on the later 08 models became smaller?

Any other changes?
