Hi,
Sent my car in for audio work. Crap job. Problems include RNS510 losing fader. Then, for the first time 'gently knocked' front and rear while parking. Wondering if it had to do with parking distance control being changed while they were mucking around with the audio wiring.
Is this even possible? Can you 'accidentally' set the distance to less than before, so it beeps later. In my in case, I normally 'gauge' how far I can go from the time it goes red. I checked a few times and it "seems" to be red a little closer than before, but I can't bet on it because I've never measured. If so, can vagcom check whether it has been tweaked before? I understand you can set the offset using vagcom.
If so, is there a default all VW's are set at? Then, can I check what mine currently is, and determine whether the audio guys might have messed up?
cheers
