Hello, a "colleage" was in the rear of my mk5 tdi golf and while crossing his legs he managed to kick the rear right chrome directional sliders that allow you to change direction of the aircon. To make it worse, rather than owning up or leaving it on the floor for me to repair he seems to have taken the missing part with him so it did not look suspicious.
Now when sittting in the back of the car looking at the centre console you see the left slider but not the right.
VW are saying I need to buy the complete rear vent asembly for $200 which seems steep. I managed to pick out part of the slider with tweezers however I need the part that you see. Any ideas on gaining that one part or a second hand vent assembly?
