Confusion Reigns Supreme

Hi guys and Gals,

New gti owner here looking for some guidence.

Weird front end noise comming from LHS only - sort of like a wheel bearing noise but really low pitch - not a squeel

if i accelerate or back off - it stops
if i throw the clutch - it stops

it is evident around a right hand corner, but not a left hand corner

any ideas before i start to spend a wad of $$ ordering a whole new front end???
