Hi,
I've got a 2001 MK4 1.6l engine code AVU, manual transmission with a damaged engine. Sounds like a rolled bearing - low oil pressure and sounding like a diesel truck. I have found a donor engine however its a 1.6l engine code BFQ, auto transmission but with very low kilometers. From what I can see, these engines look identical, however, I would like to ask here if they are and if anyone has attempted this swap. Also, will I need to swap the ECU and wiring harness as well?
