Running in a new gearbox, DILYSI or nice and easy 02J

Again conflicting opinions on running in things. the new o2j I have just forked out heaps for is nearly in (after the usual out of engine fixes) what are your experiences -- it is new it only has factory assembly lube on it and was wondering how long I should run the first oil before discarding or not and how I should treat it.

Drive it like I stole it or nice and easy???

I usually drive pretty darn hard and this is the recommended for engines but never had a new gearbox before opinions???
