76' Mk1 4 door project!
Hey everyone,
Thought I'd make a thread on my latest toy..
Bit of a Frankenstein with parts from several different models/years.
As it had been sitting in a paddock for a couple years, I didn't have high hopes of it starting but with a new battery and some start ya bastard, got it going straight away! no smoke either!!
Have already changed:
Oil ( Nulon 15w50 Semi Synthetic)
Oil Filter Z63
Spark Plugs
Fuel Filter
New Battery
Next on the list:
Overflow tank is pierced so it pisses out coolant, and thermo fan isn't turning on.. where to start.
Looking at,
New radiator,
either replace or delete overflow bottle,
replace rubber hoses
and test thermo fan ( suspected faulty thermo switch ? )
