Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

Where ever is closest when I'm near empty. I don't favour any paticular brand. Diesel is diesel.

Interesting. I thought so too, but discussions elsewhere would have one believe it is not the case. This is why I started this poll.

Was exclusively BP until three tanks ago, switched to Shell simply to try and take advantage of the miserly $A 0.04 off per litre.

Have not noticed any real differences. Perceived differences are possibly slightly better pickup, slightly more frequent DPF cycles, possibly slightly better economy (but way too early to say due to quite different driving pattern).

I dunno about shell or anyone else, but BP in Canberra is all 10ppm diesel

/me hugs DPF not getting abused from 50ppm.
