de-resonating exhaust

has anyone done this? it makes a hem of a difference to peoples surprise.

i had my xr5's stock resonator replaced with a 12" glass packed hotdog and it sounded so much throatier, growled to an extent with lots of pops and bangs

once my rocco arrives it will be my first mod
