Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • What changes in the OEM "sports suspension"

    Hiya all,

I posted a thread here a while back asking if anyone knew the changes made when one purchases the VW OEM "sports suspension package".

I have a MkV Jetta 1.4 TSI with the sports suspension package and charleston rims. I'm after the technical details so I can compare it to stock, and also to other VW's (GTI/R32/FSI) and to what is available aftermarket.. I want to know where I stand and where I need to go in order to get a better ride out of the suspension upgrade side of things.

If anyone has any info, do post.

    thanks.
