Respraying and Sanding my gloss black rims on VW GOLF

Hi, I’ll be respraying and sanding my gloss black rims on my mk6 golf this weekend because the owner before me couldn’t park clearly.
Any tips before I start on what I’ll need and some clear instructions. A lot of these posts aren’t so concise so I just want to know what’s best to use and what I’ll need and the instructions.
It’s pretty bad gutter rash so I’ll upload some photos as soon as I find out how to!
