Hey guys.
I have a pair of Focal 165KR and matching focal 2ch amp that I pulled out of an older car which I was quite happy with.
How much should I expect to pay to install the 2 in a mk6 Golf? Also is there space under any seats for the amp?
The amp is the Focal FP2.75 and the dimensions are 50x230x280mm (2x9x11“)
Secondly, is it worth chucking it in without changing the RNS510? Or should I just get a set of the Focal upgrade kit for $500 and keep these for another day...
I was also looking at perhaps adding a small underseat sub but not sure if they're even worthwhile. Not looking for huge SPL, just lower frequencies. When I had the K2+amp installed in the last car I was happy enough with the bottom end, perhaps would give this a miss unless anyone had any very positive experiences!
