  • iPod (not iPhone) issues with dealer fitted MEDIA-IN kit to RNS510

So here's the deal. I picked up a new MultiVan Highline and during the order process forgot to ask for the MEDIA-IN kit (part no. 5N0057342) and iPod cable (part no. 000 051446C) to be installed. When the van went it for its 1st service I had them install the parts. Dealer indicated that because the van has a 6 CD stacker I have to choose between the stacker or iPod. I chose the iPod interface. When I got the van back and connected the iPod 2 major issues. Firstly all albums, artists etc appear as CDs in media list and not just 1-6 but beyond that according to the number of albums. Second issue is that all music sounds terrible, like its being played underwater. I've spoken to a couple of people and some suggest it could be a programming issue with the RNS510 so that it not communicates with the iPod instead of stacker.

    Any ideas?
