For people who have an ECU flash thus increasing the kw/hp, does it make taking off an issue due to wheelspin? -
Perhaps im completely mistaken but i found a few posts on US sites that state that you can have your ECU reflashed with "Launch Control" functionality by Volkswagen. Just had my car re-tuned with the APR map last night
Dean at Volkspower is (edit: WAS) an absolute champion and from what I can see has all the time in the world for his customers.
If any one is 'considering' this mod, just go do it! Very happy with the gains and I will soon compare the acceleration figures before and after the mod

Have done my research also and it seems like a no brainer to go with APR
Called Dean at VW Power and he was very helpful, I cant wait to head down to download some NM's and KW's.
And with the gearbox - Some of the DSG's in the states are copping more than 300 kw's and no reports of failures which is damn good news to us looking at a minor 190kw.Leave a comment:

Have had my jetta done for almost a year now and it's still going strong without any faults . Have left it on the program since day one and it's great. Have the same motor and gbox as the gti so it's a direct comparison. Power and torque change you can feel without the need for dyno, but like the sound of a dyno run in the near future. Am in western suburbs but would be happy to take you for a spin if noone else wants to. Let me know how you goLeave a comment:
