  • Rough Idle almost choking Yeti

Hi all, just thought id share an experience i had the other day

So i got into my nice new 2015 yeti 120 edition with a little grin on my face as usual. Started her up and felt the engine idling quite roughly fluctuating from 600 - 1000 rpm, fan-fing-tastic i thought. long story short i realised the only thing different i had done was put 95ron fuel in it, so carefully drove it to servo and topped up with 98ron (prob 2/3rds 98ron) drove carefully home again and still had the same issue, mother fan-fing-tastic! called up volkswagen roadside assistance, they came within about 30 mins, started her up and yep, you guessed it, running perfectly. must have just flushed the rest of the dirty fuel through the lines. So moral of the story - even though it says you can put 95ron in, dont, well not in Australia anyway! Was told Australia 98 is equivalent to Euro 95 so stick to 98ron minimum. Havent had any sign of this problem since.

    Loving my Yeti!
    Cheers
