Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Ppoida's Audi 80 Cab

    Hi Folks,

Thought I would post a bit of a thread about my Audi 80 Cab

In the random factory colour Aqua Metallic 1994 there plenty of little things to fix but overall in pretty good nic for 25 years old everything works or leaks lol.

Righto the low down 10/94 build two owners 109,XXX service history and the photos hide alot of sins, nice colour though! The car was absolutely filthy when i picked her/him up. Power steering pump leaking, needs new tyres, oil leaks, needs CV's boots, timing belt need, various trims pieces need replacing, front windscreen cracked, rear window in the soft top needs replacing and and some retrimming too arrrr the list goes on. Despite all that it drivers lovely and everything works, well the speedo cuts out every now and then.

Ive also started to gather a few bits and bobs for it

mk3 golf gti recaros, little test fit looks good now to sort some rails

The PITA with these thing is 4 x 108 wheels i found a set of nissan silvia wheels with enough meat to redrill so they are at the painters being refinished, will need to run some spaces to fill the arches and clear the suspension

    Cheers

    Pete
