I've just joined this forum as it seems very friendly and well informed.
I've recently purchased a very well used 2012 VW Golf MK7 2.0TDI GT
The stop/start is dangerous with DSG
so have already built a stop/start disable circuit - it's tested, but not yet fitted. VW should really provide a default off setting in the menus.
I guess eventually I would remember to turn it off everytime I start but I would prefer it off by default.
Replaced the competely shot rear shock absorbers - wow, it was noisy and one tyre had very bad sawtooth wear.
Changed the pollen filter as never changed in it's life - even though service history shows it as replaced!
I'm not a fan of garages...
