Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW New member with an r36 question

    Hi guys.

I'm a new member looking at purchasing an r36 wagon.
I'm hoping I may be able to get some help in regards to boot space (litres)
I have found two documents online that appear to be authentic VW which refer to the wagon having a boot space of 513L and the other says 588L.

The reason I'm asking is that boot space is very important as we are now expecting a second child, with the gap between the kids only being 14 months.
So we have had to buy a double pram which means it takes up a lot of space.
We also like going away for the weekends, so a big boot will be great.

From what I believe the standard front wheel drive passats are 650L, but I would really love something more sporty.

The other question once this is clarified is that where is this Litre capacity measured to by manufactures, to the roof, or to the back of the seats.

I'm asking all these questions so I can compare boot spaces between different males and models such as an A4, Octavia, or superb, ect

Any help and advise would be awesome

    Thanks guys
Working...
