Hi from over the ditch in NZland. I've recently snapped up a 2009 Golf Mk6 Highline TSI 118 and am enjoying playing with it. It was purchased (cheap) with a known engine issue and of course it was the worst case, broken ring, engine rebuild. Hurrah! But I've got a top drawer mechanic who is very reasonable $$$ so it was still a good deal. So I've now got nice new latest design pistons, loads of compression and a sweet ride. I wanted the 7 speed DSG (which I've got) so loads of room to move. I've looking into software mods primarily, definitely ECU upgrade and possibly DSG (later). I'm only going to consider a Stage 1 option and not looking to change any other hardware. No doubt there is a wealth of information in these forums that I will track down, but many options aren't available here in NZ. Anyone keen to make a suggestion or recommendation for NZ tuners would be appreciated.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,
