I just placed a order on a 15 Golf R. Expecting to get it within 3-4 weeks. I can't wait! It's been almost 5 months since I sold my 2008 M3 and I haven't had a (fun) car since then. I ordered White, DSG with all the goodies.
A couple of the main VW dealers in the city that I rang had a 3-4 month wait on the R in that configuration but I found a country dealer that could source me one within a month. I might have been able to save a grand or two if I waited but I'm very impatient.
Just a couple of quick questions. The golf R come with privacy glass on the rear windows as far as I know but it doesn't look very dark. I'm just wondering if there are any hassles with tinting over those windows. I was hoping to get 25% tint all around. If I tinted over the privacy glass I'm assuming that the windows would like darker then the front? What are your experiences?
This is my first brand new car so I was also wondering if I have to wear the engine in at all? eg. No Redline for first 1000km or anything? lol. It might be a dumb question but I'm just trying to play it safe Haha I get very attached to my cars.
