Hello from Jockland on the other side of the world.
Just placed an order for a Golf R at the beginning of this month. Unfortunately it's a 5-6 month delivery in the UK but fingers crossed I'll be sitting in the driver's seat come early August. Plenty of great content on the forum to keep me occupied in the meantime.
For the past 10 years I've owned Renault's finest creations from the Dieppe RS factory; 1 x Megane225 Cup, 1 x Clio197 Cup and 1 x Clio200 Cup. I convincing myself I'm getting too old for such motors so with a 'sensible head' bought a new Mini Cooper D last year. Love the Mini, cracking diesel engine BUT just too sensible !!!
A new Megane275 Trophy almost had my deposit but it's just a little too hard-core for day to day use. The Golf R continues to get great reviews and I love the subtle 'wolf in sheep's clothing' look of the car. So Mr. VW dealer has my deposit for a metallic limestone grey 3-door with DCC !!!
