Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi guys,

Finally getting around to looking at some mods after stretching my uni student budget to get a mk5 golf gti.

I've had 2 mk4 golfs, a 2.slow and then a 1.8T. So naturally the mk5 golf gti was my next choice

Loving it so far but a little scared of the costs ive been involved with in regards to fuel, oil, services, and stuff that i cant do myself that previously ive done on my mk4.

Im keen to getting some more power out of her, some better updated looks (I hate the plastic rear bumper and the bubble lights) and maybe get my vinyl wrapping skills to change the exterior some more.

Looking forward to looking through all the mods people have done.
Working...
