Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    VIC new owner 118tsi

    Hi guys, I have just got mt 3rd VW this one being a 2013 Passat 118tsi and have run into a little problem in trying to upgrade the headlights to HID xenon and the auto electrician fitting the HID kit has run into a brick wall with the lights goin off shortly after being turned on or sometimes will not turn on at all.
    He has changesd all fittings and eventriedabnother kit but the problem is still there, any ideas would be appreciated and if HID xenon can not be fitted has anyone triedupgrading to different Halogen globes or tried LED lights
