Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi Good Folks

Just posting for the first time...

I sold my pristine 2010 Mk 6 118TSI hatchback a couple of months ago, and now have on order a Mk 7 Wagon.

I'm amazed at the variation in options available in different parts of the world - I've gone for a Tungsten Silver 110TDI DSG, with panoramic sunroof, Shetland Vienna leather, bi-xenon headlights with LED daylight drive lights, driver assistance package (a combination of adaptive cruise control, front assist with city emergency brake, proactive occupant protection system, park assist 2 and driver profile selection) and odds and ends like rubber floor mats, transparent load sill protective film and luggage liner.

Yes, a large dog is part of the family.

Ordered around 21 March, it's currently chugging down the west coast of Africa at a leisurely 34km/hr. on board 'Morning Camilla', and due in my part of Australia on 7 July. I guess delivery will be at least a couple of weeks after that.

I've already gleaned a heap of useful information from the Forum - so maybe by the time it arrives I'll be suitably informed on all its various systems!

For now, all the best to all.
