Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • WA WA newbie - 2008 Polo GTi

    Hi all

I am not an owner of any VW vehicle yet. But I have always loved the idea of owning a VW Golf GTi. But I can't really afford one. So after a week or so of test driving several Polo GTi (2006-2009 9N model), I find it very much to my liking and most importantly within my budget too.

I have more or less settled on a 2008 Polo GTi that has only done 61k. Although I haven't bought it yet, I have committed to buying it via email and hope to pick it up on the coming weekend. This vehicle has had the APR Stage 1 tuning done. The current owner is obviously an enthusiast as the car is in pristine condition.

I can't wait to pick it up.

I stumbled across this website while doing my research online in the last week or two.

As I am a complete newbie, I will appreciate any advice by all you seasoned veterans on the forum.
