Hi all. Bought a Golf TSI 3 weeks ago in Sydney. Then spent the first 2 weeks driving it up to Darwin as a holiday the long way. (Dubbo... Canberra... Tumut... Mildura... Uluru...) 
some 7200 km through 47 degrees dessert, some unplanned dirt road short cut to monsoonal rains over last 300 km.
The car performed exceptionally in terms of mechanics and handling (day 2 was at Bathurst ;p).
Though I do have some questions & suggestions to her VW designers after this pretty thorough 'test drive'. I will be posting about those in some of the already existing threads soon.
