Hi, I don't own a VW, but am looking to this year! Call it a mid-life crisis on a budget, but a mid 2000's Golf Gti, and Polo GTi are screaming at me to buy one of them. I am starting to be drawn more, and more towards the Polo. Am I correct in believing that it will be cheaper to run, cheaper to buy, and will not cost me a packet in servicing, compared to the Golf which has DSG? Also how many K's before a turbo needs servicing or replacement? I have never owned a turbo, or a european car for that matter.
