Recently purchased my second Tiguan. First was a new 155 TSI - traded for a new Polo TDI for my son. Could not stand being without a 4x4 so picked up a 2008 TDI with very low kms, Satnav and camera (every 4x4 should have these).
I have a long history of 4x4 ownership - Landcruisers mostly but got out of that brand when it let me down. Bought a Merc GL 320 CDI (magic!!) sold to downsize to Tig # one having done all the serious off-roading I needed.
Did some light off road last week. Not very challenging but the Tig did well - pity 'bout the lack of ground clearance though.
Should have kept the pump-up air suspension off the Merc!
The Tig is a great drive - I just love it!
