Hi All,
Im impressed with the general vibe of VW Watercooled. Its cool to see members care about other members and help each other out. I joined in the hope to find support and knowledge and likewise hope to return some.
I own a 2006 T5 2.5L 128kw. I already had a major engine failure and had to replace the whole power plant at Wolfbergs in St Peters and it cost me 11k!!! They couldn't explain to me exactly what went wrong but it had something to do with the bearings wearing out. But all in all, its fixed and im cruising in my Transporter once again.
The best vehicle I have ever owned was a T4 1.8L and I naturally wanted to progress to the T5. I love the size and space of theses vehicles and the general well-built feel to the, the engine is plenty powerful for my needs too. I eventually want to convert it to a simple camper which can easily convert to a utility vehicle as I need it.
The first official imformative post I want to contribut will be about Dash Symbols and there meanings as I can't seem to find any thread about a particular yellow circle symbol that has turned on in my dash indicators.
Hope have it posted with pics asap.
